YOUR PROPERTY VALUE: The Wisconsin Supreme Court has recognized that turbines drive down neighboring property values, keep houses on the market longer, and shrink the pool of buyers. This project offers no appraisals beforehand and no way to make affected owners whole.
YOUR EMERGENCY SERVICES: Over 48,000 acres, across towns that already share fire and rescue trucks. The application says almost nothing about who responds, with what equipment, or who pays for the training.
YOUR TOWN'S RULES: Columbus, Hampden, Fountain Prairie, Courtland and other towns passed wind ordinances. The applicant is asking the state for approval without going through them.
